#041 - Sharon Tiger - Just Get Things Done

We are having Sharon Tiger to answer some of my favourite questions for this episode. On LinkedIN she describes herself like this: “Official Customer Woo-er Customer Experience Consulting for businesses who want to grow like gangbusters.” With more than 20 years of experience with top companies and thousands of happy clients she was someone I needed to get on the show.

And I didn’t get disappointed. We surely have more to talk about for the future.

Her 3 adjectives are:

  • Curious
  • Determined, and
  • Happy Optimist

Her Colour: Bright colours preferably the most vibrant red. Sharon doesn’t want to blend in and red helps to stand out. Colours are also effecting the mood. When wearing bright colours people seem to be more open and happy towards her. Sidenote her twin sister is blue.

Secret that only her family knows: She wears the most awful looking caftan at home. And she is very extroverted outside her home, but when she is at home she does all to stay home. Rather have guests coming over to them than leave the house.

We talked about:

  • Growing up in poor family hold
  • Her mom being her hero. Showing love to the kids whenever possible. Even with her working during the day and going school in the evening
  • Her mom’s love gave her the energy to create the best opportunities for her kids
  • Her moms raise from secretary to director in HR
  • Her baby Brother with 3 big sisters and a mom => 4 moms
  • Babysiter for her brother and the lessons learned. It is in her control to get things done
  • As kid Sharon used to be the creative leader when playing with her twin sister. Pushing all the time to try this and that.
  • Sharon the visionary and her smaller sisters being organised. How that combination works well
  • Her confidence in her abilities and to find answers to problems
  • Curious and Big Risk Taker
  • Doesn’t like rules and takes calculated risks. If it goes wrong she has at least learned something.
  • Covid and Hydroxychloroquine
  • Extrovert as she loves to help and meet people which gives her energy
  • Introvert when at home and have a quiet time to be more creative
  • Personality profile ENTP
  • Empathy and how the environment influences her
  • Avoid situations and environment with negative energies
  • Meditation
  • Learn to listen to her gut, intuition at the age of 15
  • Learn to feel ok to say no
  • Coaching and the skills needed
  • Using coaching with kids. Don’t transfer your fears to the kid
  • Her Voluntary work for the Sjogren's Foundation for kids
  • How she created a group, which led to recognition and a grant for research and helped create a platform for families with kids with Sjogren’s.
  • Work with AI her new job
  • Her work in sales
  • Her skill of making complex things super simple

Creativity:  Advice for business. Create an environment were it’s safe to fail. Perfectionism is a limiting belief, the root could be fear and protection of the things one has build.

Exploring ideas and putting them together in a way that makes sense to you. Showing the world how you see it.

Her creative powers: She does gardening, painting and writing. Loves to create from scratch. Her paintings are abstract and show feelings but also landscapes. She might also use charcoal to sketch.

At work she uses her creativities to look at all the aspects of a problem or task. She is so curious that she questions everything to make sure that the cause of the problem is not only a symptom but really the problem.

Advice:

Biggest game changer for her came from a mentor. Be in control of your time.

“If you can’t control or influence it then don’t spend time on it”

Call to action:

Find what makes you happy and do it. JUST GO DO IT
