Strange, Growing, Fun that is how we start this episode with Aidan O’Sullivan. This episode’s guest Aidan O’Sullivan is a podcast host, business coach, mind-magician, mentalist, mind reader and a wizard. Or short @AidanTheWizard as you can find him on the social medias. Besides that he loves to learn and grow, reading books, taking classes and then bundle it all into his package to coach individuals and businesses with his ever growing knowledge on personal growth and psychology. Or shares it with his audience on “The Successful Mentalist” or “The Stop Existing Show” Podcasts.
This is the first of three interviews I had with “The Successful Mentalist” hosts Aidan and Ashley. So you are up for a big treat of weirdness, deep insights on how to pivot your life and career and as usual for my interviews you also get tips and tricks on how to improve your creativity and innovation.
3 Words Describing him:
- Strange: It’s strange for people to meet a mind magician. The strange part is to use real psychology for his mind tricks.
- Growing: He enjoys to grow and learning in many ways. His book
- Fun: If live would be boring it would suck. 3 MTB’s really Big challenges “To do really cool shit” That is what Aidan really want to do having fun and enjoy and do things he is really exited about.
Colour: He sees himself more as a pencil that is clear and you can see the ink cartridge in the centre. He wants people to see through him and see other people and their greatness. So his best version of himself is to be the best for others. Using Neal Donald Walsh’s quote “Your live is not about you. It’s about the lives that you impact.”
Fun Facts: Aidan is obsessed with music. He listens to all kind of music from nature sounds, pop to hard core electronics. More over he wants to create his own music especially to start his own shows.

- The most important question is to ask “WHY you want to do/achieve something”
- Magic is more fun now, his passion & heart project without the stress of having to book gigs and earn money with it
- His current obsession with creativity and innovation
- Their latest teaching with creativity
Creativity:
- Can be trained. The more you do the more you generate creative ideas
- To be more creative plan 60-90-120min in your calendar. Sit down and give yourself permission to be creative. Write your ideas down and then work with them
- Aidans creative power is the intersection and the love for thinking and learning
What is Innovation:
It is a Buzz word.
It is testing ideas out. Taking action on ideas, try them out and get feedback.
“Not every idea is great. But every idea is valid”
You have to give things time. Giving time by pointing to your target and then shoot. Ideas are the pointing and shooting is the action.
Call to Action:
Give yourself permission to be creative
Advice:
Everything that you are doing is quite right. Listen to other people and learn. Take action or don’t take action if it doesn’t feel right.
